As of February 2010, De Lane Lea are all back in at No 75 and working hard to get every studio back up and running just as soon as possible.

Studio 1 has had its first mix in there and everyone is really happy with how it went. There’s still quite a bit to do in the other studios, and around the building in general, but we’re getting there and can’t wait to open properly, hopefully in the next month or so.

We’re delighted that 2 films that were mixed at DLL have received Oscar nominations:
Fantastic Mr Fox has been nominated for an Oscar for both Animated Feature and Music (Best Original Score). This wonderful film started its mix just weeks before the fire happened last summer, with an ex DLL mixer, Sven Taits. Goldcrest were able to accommodate them and to ensure continuity, one of our wonderful mix assistants, Nick Del Molino, went with their team and assisted the guys at Goldcrest.
Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death has also been nominated for Short Film (Animated). This wonderful half hour was originally transmitted on Christmas Day in 2008 and watched by an audience of 14.3 million! Adrian Rhodes, who has a long working relationship with Nick Park, sound designed and mixed the film in DLL’s studio 3.

We started 2010 as an Institute Associate of The Sundance Film Festival. This year’s festival took place between 21st and 31st January in Park City. "It’s a pleasure to welcome De Lane Lea into our official Institute family," said Sarah Pearce, Director of Operations, Sundance Film Festival. "We are grateful for their generous contribution, particularly in light of the fire damages their studios sustained this summer."

De Lane Lea Chief Executive Huw Penallt Jones said of becoming an Institute Associate of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival: "After a very challenging year at De Lane Lea, we are absolutely thrilled to support such a prestigious event as the 2010 Sundance Film Festival."
